Taking a cruise is a fabulous way to spend your holiday. Whether you’re going with friends, your family or just for a romantic getaway for two, a cruise offers you everything you could want in a vacation: amazing views on land and sea, relaxation, entertainment, great food and accommodations. When you take a cruise, you are really buying an entire vacation!

There are many avid travelers who take cruises on a regular basis. Especially those who love the sea, and traveling the world might go on multiple cruises all year round in order to see different parts of the world in the best season for being there. These people may have been travelling this way for many years and remember every cruise vividly. They will certainly have their favorite cruise lines and know exactly when and where to go for the best cruising experience.

They might also have quite an interest in the details of the sailing vessels, the captain and various crew members. After taking many cruises they get to know some of the people involved in running the cruise quite well. After a company is taken over by a different cruise line, they may follow the happenings of the captain and ships that are used in the new line. For some, going back to investigate what happened to a ship they sailed on years ago is a passion.

Royal Cruise Lines is one of those that started out in the early 70’s. It had a great reputation, and added new ships to its fleet. Some of its ships were acquired by a different cruise line, Norwegian Caribbean Line. Royal Cruise lines still had its own identity for a while, but soon sold its main ships. Norwegian Caribbean Line did not do well, and damaged the Royal Cruise Line’s good name. So the Royal Cruise line ceased to exist, although her ships are still sailing today with Norwegian Caribbean Line.

Although there is very little information available about Royal Cruise Lines on the Internet, by what little there is it is apparent that those who have taken cruises offered by the line in the past are interested in reminiscing about it, and finding out what has happened to some of the ships and crew. This is just the sort of fascination many experience who have a deep love for sailing the sea in search of adventure and the opportunity to see and experience the world.

Many websites are dedicated to giving information about specific ships that sail in fleets of the various cruise lines. You can certainly find out details about ships that are currently sailing, as well as those that have since retired. For many, this is a hobby.
