Come Sail Away On A Fun-Filled Cruise Lines Vacation
Imagine yourself and your honey strolling along, enjoying the breeze as both of you relax in each other's embrace on board your favorite cruise line. It’s your favorite cruise ship line because years ago you did your research seeking out the qualities and characteristics you wanted before investing in your on the sea getaway.
You recapture that moment of that special journey of your lifetime like a honeymoon or anniversary cruise. However, before you set sail, well before you collected the necessary accoutrement for this at sea adventure, there were quite a few decisions that had to be made in preparation.
* Destination: Where do I want to go? – Cruise ship lines offer a variety of tropical and non-tropical ports of destination throughout the world. While the most popular remain tropical destinations where creamy, soft-sanded beach fronts await your light stepping toward fruity drinks with little umbrellas afloat, some cruise lines offer non-traditional destinations and, in fact, may specialize in these exotic non-tropic locales
* Budget: How much do I have to spend? – This isn’t a question with a single easy answer. There are many factors that a cruise line uses to determine the cost such as time of year, length of trip, destinations, type of accommodations, types of entertainment offered ( Yes, some cruises have headliners entertaining, others are great career-starting points for entertainers), kids cruising, type of ship and more
* Timeframe: How many days will I cruise? – Your choice could be as little as two – a local overnight - up to an around-the-world voyage that will consume several month’s time. Most typical Caribbean cruise ship lines offer anywhere from a four-day excursion to several weeks onboard
* Fashion: What is a cruise dress code? – Be careful not to select cruises that offer formal dress dining at night. Obviously, tropic cruises are peopled by voyagers wearing beachside or onboard nautical type wear but, for the most part, cruising elicits a casual atmosphere accompanied by casual dress. Sites ventured to at ports of call may also dictate dress selection. Always do a thorough examination of dressing needs to gather the necessary clothes to meet whatever requirements at hand
* Atmosphere: Mix and Mingle? – Outside of your personal cabin time, cruising normally doesn’t provide a great deal of privacy when participating in shared environments like dining or other entertainment venues. Also, group cruising with others who share a common denominator is a popular choice as is other themed choices like a senior’s cruise, single’s cruise, family cruise and others
* Highlight: Additionally, many honeymoon cruises offer services like getting married at sea that can be attractive features when searching for the right cruise ship line. Some also offer “burial-at-sea” services where loved ones can inter their dearly departed to the awaiting embrace of Mother Ocean
Keep in mind that every cruise line is not comparable and each differentiates in features from the other for their share of the cruise market. Therefore, many offer features separating them from competitors that a well informed consumer should take advantage of when selecting a cruise ship line.
